The prestigious Colombo Air Symposium (CAS) is a foundation event for the Sri Lanka Air Force, enriching dialogue and innovation in the field of aviation. This year's edition, themed "Transforming Air and Space Power for a Resilient Tomorrow: Prospects for Air Forces of Indian Ocean RIM," is intended to be an extraordinary gathering.
Scheduled for 10 and 11 February 2025 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), CAS 2025 will be administered as a platform for global thought leaders, researchers and aviation enthusiasts to exchange ideas and expertise. Participants from a broad range of nations, including Australia, India, France and the United States, will contribute to the symposium's diverse perspectives.
The official website for CAS 2025 was launched yesterday (26 February 2025) by the Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa, at Air Force Headquarters. During the ceremony the welcome speech delivered by the Secretary General of CAS – 2025, Air Vice Marshal TI Fernando. The website offers details on the symposium's theme, participants and registration process. Registration is now open, inviting all stakeholders to join in this collective pursuit of knowledge and progress in the field of aviation.
The launching ceremony was attended by the Chief of Staff, Members of the Air Force Board of Management and the Members of the CAS – 2025 Secretariate.
